The pilot of the MTV programme - Andy Warhol's Fifteen Minutes - featured Ric Ocasek of the Cars and was filmed ca. July 1985 (AWD663). The series won the Fashion Show Video Award at the Palladium on May 14, 1986. (AWD733)
Andy Warhol's Fifteen Minutes continued on MTV in 1987 after Warhol's death with an episode that included footage from the memorial ceremony for Andy Warhol with Brigid Berlin (highly permed and looking almost svelte) reading briefly from "the book of wisdom", Yoko Ono talking about John Lennon's death, and a few shots of some of the mourners.
