Having cleaned up from drugs and alcohol through twelve step programs, Joe Dallesandro continues to work as an actor in Los Angeles. The films he has appeared in since his factory days include: Citizens of Perpetual Indulgence (unreleased - also starring Mary Woronov and Holly Woodlawn), The Limey (1998) - directed by Steven Soderbergh - the DVD version includes Joe's commentary, LA Without A Map (1998), Pacino is Missing (1998 - unreleased), Theodore Rex (1996), Sugar Hill (1994), Wild Orchid II: Two Shades of Blue (1992), Bad Love (1992), Gun Crazy (1992), Cry Baby (1990) - directed by John Waters, Private War (1990), Double Revenge (1989), Sunset (1988) - directed by Blake Edwards, Critical Condition (1987), and The Cotton Club (1984). His latest screen appearance was in Superstar in a Housedress (2004) - Craig Highberger's documentary about Warhol star, Jackie Curtis.
